I am a graduate student in religious studies, but I don't focus primarily on US history. I do, however, visit this blog daily as I find your posts to be accessible to a non-historian. It is also a must-read for me as it is useful in both suggesting useful readings and giving a very informed discussion of the varied issues your blog addresses. I am sorry that there are not more blogs doing similar, reliable, interesting work in related aspects of religion.SGAnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37589721331585843.post-20659208397064107242010-01-26T10:17:23.032-07:002010-01-26T10:17:23.032-07:00Ha! The combination of professional announcements, personal reflections, and cultural commentary make for a useful model, I think.

It has been a god-send for graduate students like myself trying to navigate the field. One (perhaps unconsidered) effect the blog has had is to make the several scholars who blog here more accessible. I've not only been introduced to scholarship via the blog, but the scholars who produce it. In that sense, then, RiAH has indeed democratized American religious history. Keep up the good work, and thanks for allowing me to tag along.Christopherhttp://juvenileinstructor.orgnoreply@blogger.com
